Wednesday Spotlight: Alissa Petersen

Today BrandCraft got some insight into one of our newest team members, Alissa Petersen. Hired on as a Manager of Accounts & Senior Graphic Designer, she’s got some sweet ideas about streamlining the BrandCraft workflow and keeping everyone sane with all the work we have to get done!

What is your preferred communication style with the BrandCraft team?

I am still fresh to the team so I don’t have an established style, but find that puns and treats never hurt when communicating.

How do you feel that being a graphic designer and a project manager helps with your daily challenges?

Having two different roles helps balance my work quite a lot. I get to use the creative side of my brain but also need to make sure I am organized and task-oriented to support our team and clients.

What are your professional goals for the next six months?

I would like to focus on branding and expanding my skill-set; luckily I am in the perfect position for doing so here! I also want to streamline our project management process to make everything as easy and efficient as possible.

What’s in your playlist right now?

I’m a moody music listener and currently transitioning from my somber winter favorites to more upbeat spring tunes. Currently on repeat: City and Colour, Leon BridgesTimecop1983, and St. Lucia.

What are your nicknames?

My family and close friends call me “Liss.”

What do you do for fun?

I love to travel and hope to keep doing so for years to come. On a more regular basis I am likely watching the Great British Baking Show with my beau, getting coffee, planning home renovations, or at my weight lifting class.

What is your go to food?

Definitely soup. Apples and peanut butter come in a close second, though.
